Making a difference in the lives of others is very important to us. That’s why we make regular efforts to give back however we can, through fundraising events, food and supply drives, and more.
We teamed up with several amazing organizations to make an impact in our community.
We rescue horses and we rescue veterans. But the truth is, it’s so much more than that… We give our service men and women the opportunity to heal, regain control, and live with purpose – so they can return to the lives they fought to protect. Through community classes taught by Veterans we offer rage painting, pen craftmanship, and ax throwing to raise money to put Veterans through a 4-day retreat. Check us out at www.Hooves.us.
At our annual BBQ event, we encouraged clients to brings items to donate to active duty military members. Through this event and other efforts, together we have collected and donated over 2,500 pounds of goods and supplies to those serving in our community and overseas.
Troop 101 from Waterville, Ohio joined us to kick off our Economic Summit with the Pledge of Allegiance. They also sold their delicious popcorn.
Did you know that over 400 children in Northwestern Ohio are waiting for a bed to sleep in at night? Many of us cannot even imagine being in such a situation, and that’s why Mike Horvath, one of our clients, stepped up to help assemble beds for children in need.
Don’t just hope for a cure; help find one. We teamed up with the Alzheimer’s Association and hosted a special walk through Levis Commons to help raise awareness. Participants wore purple and proudly paraded through the streets with ALZ flower pinwheels in hand.
ARHQ also participated in the 2018 Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® and raised a total of $2,175! Through our team and clients’ efforts, we were recognized as a 2018 Grand Champion Club Member.
The team at America’s Retirement Headquarters made an impact by helping a local school that was in desperate need of volunteers after a basic remodel took an unexpected turn.
With the beginning of the school year right around the corner, faculty and staff members at Dorr Elementary reached out to the community for volunteers to help clean and reorganize the classrooms after plans to remodel the hallways were put on hold. The remodel had only just begun. Everything was looking great … until what surfaced from under the old carpet created a bigger project that no one was prepared for. Dust and debris coated the walls, and classrooms were left unattended. All of this, and school was starting in less than three days! Our team stepped up to the plate and donated our time to help get the school back in order. With everyone’s help, we were able to reorganize the rooms before the beginning of the school year.
